Leading Michigan spirits distributor uses Descartes Mobile

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, a leading distributor of wines, spirits and beer in Michigan, has deployed Descartes Mobile for Android across its fleet to improve delivery performance, according to a Descartes statement. Descartes Mobile is a cloud-based solution that is part of Descartes' integrated routing, mobile and telematics offering.

Descartes Mobile, available on multiple operating systems, helps businesses manage mobile workers and drivers on delivery routes by providing them with the stop sequence, order details and turn-by-turn driving instructions, the company said.

"Integrating real-time field data is critical to ensure the maximum performance of our delivery operations. With Descartes Mobile for Android, we're able to upgrade to the latest mobile technology and improve our infield capabilities," said Lou Grech-Cumbo, executive vice president of operations at Great Lakes Wine & Spirits.
