BNSF launches website for rail advocates

The BNSF Railway announced it has launched a website that it says is: “dedicated to providing exclusive content to the friends, allies and advocates interested in BNSF or freight rail transportation.”

Members of the new 'Friends of BNSF' website – www.friendsofbnsf.com - can gain access to articles, documents, photos and videos, many of which are not available anywhere else, the railroad said in a statement.

"Friends of BNSF will allow us to keep the community informed about issues that are important to freight rail transportation and its role in the U.S. economy," said John Ambler, BNSF’s vice president of corporate relations.

"Rail fans, freight rail advocates, members of communities in which BNSF operates, and of course our employees and retirees are all welcome at Friends of BNSF," Ambler said,

Membership to the website is free after registering with an email address, the BNSF said.
