DP World places huge order for Cargotec cranes, shuttle carriers

DP World Brisbane in Australia has ordered 14 Kalmar automatic stacking cranes and 14 Kalmar one-over-one shuttle carriers from Cargotec. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for 2013 and 2014. The total cost of the order was not disclosed.

"We are expanding our terminal in Brisbane through the development of new yard area, and decided to opt for automatic stacking cranes and manual shuttle carriers to maximize the capacity and efficiency, focused on the growing needs of our customers," says Mark Hulme, director and general manager of DP World Brisbane.
