Four S.C. port cranes damaged in storm

Port officials at the Wando terminal in Mount Pleasant, S.C. report that it could be months before damaged cranes are working again.

During a thunderstorm on Saturday, 70-mile-per-hour winds pushed a 1,500-ton rail-mounted crane down the dock, hitting three smaller cranes.

The high winds also damaged up to 74 containers - 19 loaded with cargo.

The port will be down to seven cranes to load and unload cargo until the cranes are repaired.
