Friday, October 15, 2010 Identec acquires Sattel from DP World Identec Solutions announced it has acquired the assets of Satellite Telemetry (Aust) Pty Ltd (Sattel) from container terminal operating group DP World. Sattel provides DGPS (differential global positioning system) based tracking and telemetry systems to the global container terminal industry. The company has installations in Asia, Australasia, Europe and the USA. According to a statement released by Identec, DP World, the third-largest global container terminal operator, is among its marine and intermodal clients, as well as Total Terminals International and Georgia Ports Authority.
