Maersk enters wind energy partnership in North America

Maersk Line, Limited announced it has formed a partnership with Apex Offshore Wind, LLC to support the development, financing and construction of offshore wind energy facilities in North America.

Maersk Line said in a statement that it has “decided to partner with a reputable offshore wind energy firm to collaborate on the development of potential wind energy projects.

Maersk Line said it wants to expand on its maritime technical and transportation services business.

Maersk said its partner’s management team has been involved in offshore wind energy projects in North America for over 9 years.

Apex said it “sees significant potential for the industry’s growth and supports the U.S. government’s vision of an offshore wind energy sector capable of providing 54 gigawatts of clean domestic energy by 2030.”
