Port of Montreal releases video of terminal expansion plans

The Port of Montreal released a video that shows
its expansion plans for its Viau Container Terminal
project in order to boost cargo volume at the
terminal.

The project is to be split into two phases: the first phase intends to add around 350,000 TEUs of additional capacity, with the second phase adding a further 250,000 TEUs.

The new terminal will have a highway overpass for smoother truck traffic and less congestion as a way of strengthening the local network.

The first phase of the project, overseen by MSC and the Montreal Port Authority, is expected to be complete by the end of 2016.
