Buenos Aires terminal launches Navis TOS

Navis, a division of Cargotec, announced that Exolgan Container Terminal (EBA) in Buenos Aires has successfully completed implementation of the Navis N4 terminal operating system.

EBA is the only terminal in Buenos Aires with the capacity to simultaneously process two mega vessels in the port. The N4 TOS implementation is part of a $170 million investment in infrastructure, equipment and technology at the terminal, which will give it an edge against competitors in the region.

Upgrading to N4 updated the terminal platform to

prepare for automated operational processes, to support changing industry requirements and to improve ROI potential at the terminal.

"Exolgan was the first terminal in the world to implement Navis Express, moving to N4 TOS platform was a natural path that will further enhance our operational excellence and will help us maintain and heighten our competitive edge in Argentina," said Roberto Negro, CEO of EBA. "We have had a successful launch due to our team of great professionals and the rapid response and assistance from Navis."
