TraPac Terminal at the Port of LA leads in automation (video)





A newly released video highlights streamlined automated operations at the Port of Los Angeles TraPac Terminal.

The auto straddle carriers are controlled by magnets that have been embedded beneath the terminal floor. Lasers and differential GPS are also used to

ensure accurate handling.

This innovative automation model is reportedly the first of its kind globally.
