Cargo ship rescues New Zealand sailors

Three men—wearing only underwear and lifejackets—escaped a burning luxury yacht after it caught fire in the middle of the Pacific between Rarotonga and Tonga.

They dived into the water and activated the life raft as meter-high flames tore through the cabins and center cockpit.

The trio was eventually plucked from the sea about four hours later by Liberian-flagged container ship MV Cap Capricorn.

The men reportedly escaped injury.
