Crane operator rescued at Port of Los Angeles



Firefighters rescued a crane operator working 100 feet above the ground today at a container terminal in Wilmington at the Port of Los Angeles.

The worker, who had fallen ill, was lowered to the ground in a basket attached to a 100-foot aerial

ladder by Los Angeles Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue Team members. He was then transported to a hospital.
