MOL launches vessel safety campaign

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines launched a safety campaign aimed at all MOL-operated vessels, starting on October 1.

As part of their "GEAR UP! MOL" management plan, MOL President Koichi Muto and other company executives and staff will visit MOL-operated vessels to meet with on-board employees and exchange information and opinions about vessel safety, particularly the prevention of incidents.

The targeted vessels include MOL-operated dry bulkers, tankers, LNG carriers, car carriers, and containerships, as well as company-operated ferries and cruise ships.

The safety campaign period is from October 1 to November 15, and will cover specific safety topics and discussions. Measures will be explored that may have prevented recent collisions, using multimedia demonstrations.
