Port of Long Beach to hold public hearings for planned $650 mil terminal

The Port of Long Beach announced it would hold public hearings in October over draft environmental documents that study its proposal to develop a $650 million container terminal on Terminal Island.

The port said the first hearing is scheduled for October 5, at the Long Beach City Council chambers at 7:PM, with the second hearing to be held October 13 at the Cabrillo High School auditorium, also commencing at 7:PM.

The port said its newly-released draft environmental impact statement and supplemental environmental impact report analyzes the impacts of the proposed development along with the mitigation measures that would be used to address those impacts.
