Kansas Logistics Park lands wind-farm customer

Kansas Logistics Park has secured a new tenant - a wind farm firm that will build its first manufacturing facility there.

Colorado-based New Millennium will reportedly staff the new plant in Newton, Kansas, with 70 employees with plans to grow to 300, according to the Kansas City Star.

New Millennium develops lightweight, 28-foot-to-35-foot turbines for installation on the rooftops of commercial buildings.

The facility is scheduled to commence operations by mid-2012.
