DP World orders $700M equipment for Jebel Ali terminal

DP World has placed a $700-million order with Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) to supply technology for Jebel Ali automated container terminal (Terminal 4) in Dubai.

According to media reports, the DP World order is for quay cranes and rail cranes, scheduled for delivery through 2018.

DP World’s Jebel Ali is ranked as the world’s ninth largest terminal and is the largest container port outside of Asia.
