Friday, July 18, 2014 Jade Software wins TOS contract for Mexican portsGrupo CICE, a major port operator in Mexico and Central America, has selected Jade Software's terminal operating system Master Terminal to manage its mixed cargo ports, according to a statement from the software company. It said two ports at Veracruz and Tampico will implement its TOS in 2014. As CICE seeks to attract the business of more global shipping companies, Master Terminal will help successfully run and grow their operation, according "We have to compete with top international groups, and operate in our own terminal as well as in public areas," said a CICE spokesperson. "To provide top quality services for containers and general cargo we need the right tools to plan, control, and operate our business. Jade's Master Terminal Software gives us the flexibility and reliability we require from a TOS." CICE will retire a number of in-house systems and replace them with Master Terminal's single, integrated view of the port, the statement said. "This is a significant milestone for Master Terminal; it is our first implementation in Mexico, further extending our footprint in the Americas," said Captain Kaustubh Dalvi, director of sales for Master Terminal. Jade said Master Terminal is well established in the Middle East and New Zealand, has a growing presence in the U.S, and won its first African sites, at Ghana's Tema and Takoradi ports, last year.
