Global Cold Chain Alliance holds operations course in Peru

Local and international experts converged in Lima, Peru for the first International Course on Cold Chain Operations, sharing their know-how with more than 120 attendees.

"This course exceeded our expectations and reflects the rapidly growing interest in cold chain technology throughout Latin and South America," said Corey Rosenbusch, president of the Global Cold Chain Alliance, which hosted the course. "Consumer demand for high-quality frozen and refrigerated food products is increasing, and manufacturers, retailers, and other cold chain companies are responding by continually modernizing their operations and increasing their capacity."

The topics covered included facility design and maintenance, energy management and the latest innovations and best practices in cold chain.

The upcoming GCCA Latin America Cold Chain Congress, scheduled for October 17-18 in Mexico City, will cover new trends, technology, and refrigeration systems, challenges affecting the region, and discuss solutions to improve cold supply chain market needs.
