DHL initiates green paper policy

Deutsche Post DHL announced that as part of its GoGreen initiatives, that it would require preference given to procurement of recycled paper over other paper types globally, and encourage its employees to recycle, reuse and minimize waste, not only of paper, but also office furniture and business cards, among other items.

The company’s GoGreen program is part of the Deutsche Post DHL’s Strategy 2015, which was rolled out last year and has as one of its main objectives a five percent efficiency reduction of the company’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The company said it is ensuring it meets a criteria based on sustainability, conservation of resources, and efficiency when selecting the paper, paper products, paper-based print products and packaging it uses on a daily basis.
