Hyundai Merchant Marine takes delivery of third 13,000-TEU ship

Hyundai Merchant Marine announced it took delivery of the third of five 13,100-TEU ships with the arrival of the Hyundai Drive from Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.

The company says the new builds are valued at $129 million each.

Following in the footsteps of its sister ship, Hyundai Hope, HMM reports Hyundai Drive is sailing the G6 Asia-Europe Loop 6, according to Alphaliner.

The Hyundai Victory and Hyundai Pride will be delivered in three months.

The five new vessels are in addition to five similar ships that hit the Hyundai Samho shipyard in 2012.
