Port of Richmond deploys newest Navis operating system

The Port of Richmond is the first of six Virginia terminal locations to implement an upgrade a new terminal operating system (TOS).

The Virginia Port Authority is deploying Navis' SPARCS N4, the newest iteration of their TOS, which allows multiple terminals to be managed from one location. The upgrade will provide API solutions that will connect with third party vendor applications and allow real-time data entry using N4-Mobile-enabled iPads at both the barge and gates.

The Richmond Marine Terminal, the second location nationwide to deploy the new technology, is a barge terminal that moves containerized, break-bulk and bulk cargo.
