Navis announces newest release of terminal operator system

Navis, an arm of Cargotec, announced at TOC Europe the latest release of its advanced terminal operating system, SPARCS N4 2.5, for managing the flow of cargo through terminals.

New enhancements to the TOS include improved automation functionality, enhanced rail, yard and vessel operations management, changes in architecture, greater business intelligence analytics and deployment options designed to improve performance, reliability and testing options.

"SPARCS N4 2.5 represents a combination of best-of-breed technologies along with innovative features and functionality that are essential to driving optimization in the new age of marine shipping," said Frank Kooijman, senior VP of engineering, Navis. "Our goal is to future proof our customers through strategic product evolution."
