Direct ChassisLink acquires Hyundai Merchant Marine's U.S. chassis fleet

Direct ChassisLink Inc. has purchased the U.S. chassis fleet of ocean carrier Hyundai Merchant Marine, according to a joint statement. DCLI's purchase of HMM's fleet of more than 23,000 chassis is another indicator of the changing chassis management paradigm in the U.S., the statement said.

In addition to the sale, a long-term agreement was penned that makes Direct ChassisLink HMM's exclusive chassis provider in the U.S.

"We are excited that Hyundai Merchant Marine chose DCLI as a strategic partner to meet the company's long term chassis requirements in the U.S.," said DCLI CEO Bill Shea.
