Watch APM Terminals’ development plans for Black Sea port

APM Terminals released a video that outlines its development plans for Poti Sea Port, a new harbor that will serve Georgia and Central Asia. Poti lies off the eastern Black Sea coast at the mouth of the Rioni River in Poti, Georgia.

The port currently features 15 berths and handles approximately nine million tons of cargo annually.

APM Terminals says it will build a new container terminal at the Poti port that will have a total throughput of one million TEUs, adding two berths and 600 meters of quay. Ultimately, in 2025, the terminal’s capacity will rise to two million TEUs, and include four berths and 1200 meters of quay.
