3PL Yusen Logistics expands U.S.-Mexico border solutions

3PL Yusen Logistics announced it is expanding its U.S-Mexico border services to increase the efficiency goods crossing to and from Mexico.

Yusen said its Mexico Border Cargo Management services give shippers a choice of multi-modal cross-border solutions that can be customized.

The company said it has strong relationships with reliable rail, truck and dray carriers throughout the U.S. and Mexico, including access to tens of thousands of trucks and containers, ensuring capacity and service on both sides of the border.

"The leverage we have from our global purchasing power allows us to offer committed capacity solutions to our customers," says Jordan Dewart, vice president, Yusen Logistics Mexico. "Our one-stop solution can accommodate all of our customer's cross-border shipping needs."

Yusen gives its U.S. customers multiple cross-border shipping options. Its over-the-road shipments are trucked in to Mexico from origins in U.S. or Canada, according to a company statement. Border Direct shipments travel by rail to Laredo and are trucked to Mexico. Mexico Direct shipments are moved by rail from U.S. to Mexico, then trucked to ultimate destination.

Yusen Logistics has operations in both the U.S. and Mexico, including a 100,000-square-foot warehouse close to the border in Laredo, TX, plus offices in Mexico City, Monterrey and Celaya.
