CMA CGM christens 11,400-TEU ship in Dunkirk

The third largest container-shipping group in the world, France’s CMA CGM, announced the christening of the 11,400-TEU CMA CGM Titan at the Terminal des Flandres at the Port of Dunkirk.

The Titan is the eighth containership in a series of 12 named after constellations that are all equipped with the “Fast Oil Recovery” system, an electronically controlled engine and a twisted leading edge rudder, the shipping line said in a statement.

The latest vessel will be deployed as part of the French group’s Asia-Europe services.
