A virtual passage through the expanded Panama Canal (video)

The Panama Canal Authority created this video demonstrating in detail how the new Neopanamax locks will operate within the Expanded Panama Canal once inaugurated on Sunday, June 26.

After its expansion, the Panama Canal will be able to handle vessels with a length of 1201 feet and cargo

capacity up to 13,000 TEUs.

Using a combination of video clips and animation, the video offers a virtual tour of a Neopanamax vessel's transit through the expanded canal.
