GT Nexus signs medical products firm to cloud-based network

Technology provider GT Nexus announced the medical products firm Medline Industries, Inc. has signed to its cloud-based global logistics management platform.

GT Nexus said Medline is the nation's largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products, manufacturing and distributing more than 100,000 products to hospitals and related healthcare facilities.

"With the growth of our global supply chain operation, the time had come to further enhance the way we run our logistics network," said Mike Collins, vice president of inbound transportation and logistics at Medline. "GT Nexus is the market leader in providing the spend management technology we need and all of our partners were already on the platform. We get all of the enhanced technology, in the cloud. The overall value proposition was very attractive to us."
