South Korean firm wins deal to build $646M Singapore port facility



The Singaporean Maritime and Port Authority has made a deal with South Korean construction firm Daelim Industrial to construct a $646 million container port facility in Singapore, according to a statement.

Under the agreement, Daelim will dredge and construct wharves as part of the first phase of the Singapore’s Tuas Terminal project. The first berths

are expected to be complete sometime in the 2020s.

Daelim has won other building deals in Singapore, including the Marina Coastal Expressway project in 2013 and the construction of mass transit lines in 2014.
