INTTRA partners with JDA Software

INTTRA, the shipping e-commerce marketplace, announced it has teamed up with JDA Software Group, which provides supply chain and retail IT solutions for more than 4,000 customers worldwide. Under the new agreement, JDA customers will have access to INTTRA's platform of ocean shipping software, data and services.

"The robust functionality of JDA Transportation Management software allows customers to control costs, streamline productivity and maximize efficiencies," said Inna Kuznetsova, president of INTTRA Marketplace. "Those same objectives are at the heart of INTTRA's service offering. We are pleased that JDA's customers now have powerful tools to navigate the ocean shipping portion of the supply chain, adding functionality without complexity."

INTTRA says it is experiencing rapid growth in its container volume, which was up 12 percent in a year of much slower growth for the market. The company's overall share of container volume has grown from 22 percent in 2014 to 24 percent in recent months.

"We are confident that INTTRA's streamlined transaction platform will enable our customers to achieve operational efficiency at all stages of the ocean shipment management process," said Fabrizio Brasca, vice president of Solution Strategy and Intelligent Fulfillment at JDA. "Given that 90 percent of everything we buy is transported by ocean, it's important that we can extend our Transportation Management capabilities to INTTRA's platform to bolster our ocean shipping capabilities exponentially."
