Trucking drayage and chassis management software

There is a host of trucking drayage and chassis management software on the market handling everything from your basic needs to specific applications.

Following are some of the options available:

Company: Advent

Product: Chassis.com, Chassis Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting (DVIR) Solution

Platform: Microsoft .Net, MS SQl Server

Customers: Marine terminal operators, depot operators, maintenance and repair providers, shipping lines, railroads and intermodal service providers’ equipment leasing companies

What Sets It Apart: Advent’s Chassis.com has been selected by the OCEMA affiliated shipping lines to provide a solution for DVIR reporting to their chassis users. This system is available as a free service to motor carriers who use OCEMA pool chassis and it is also available as a paid solution to non-OCEMA intermodal equipment providers.

Web based entry of DVIRs is free to the trucking community and Advent will be offering additional paid services such as SMS text entry and IVR phone call entry of DVIRs in the near future.

Comments: It offers seamless interface to other Advent system offerings like Repair-View (Advent’s IEP M&R solution) and Depot View (Advent’s Depot Management tool).

Company: FreightDATA Transportation Software

Product: FreightDATA LTL, FreightDATA Intermodal

Platform: Runs primarily on Unix-based platforms, with the exceptions of its web and image-based products.
Customers: Wide range of small and medium size carriers

Product: Complete suite of transportation and logistics software products featuring Intell eModal with capabilities for all aspects of intermodal operations and equipment management.

Platform: Hosted - worldwide access, which is available 24/7 on the web via an Internet browser. Purchased - Windows, Unix and Linux Servers and Windows and Linux machines with an Internet browser.

Customers: Logistics service providers, shipping lines and agencies that supply intermodal and chassis/container management services.

What Sets it Apart: Intellect products offer a functionally rich, intuitive, user friendly, Internet based interface. The Intell eModal functionality covers the full Intermodal transportation scope for FCL container moves and all modes of transportation including truck, rail, barge, and inland feeder. Chassis and optional container management form an integral part of the system.
